Katheryn Winnick
Canadian actor, director and producer Katheryn Winnick starred in the critically-acclaimed, Emmy award-winning television series Vikings that was created by MGM and The History Channel. Winnick also directed an episode of Vikings in the year 2020. Entertainment Weekly stated that her character as "Lagertha is possibly one of the most captivating female characters on screen." Her character has won numerous accolades due to her role as the fierce shieldmaiden. These include The Women's Image Network Award for the Most Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series in 2018, the Critic's Choice Award as the Top Supporting Actress as well as the Canadian Screen Award for the Leading Dramatic Actress in 2014, and the Women's Image Network Award for the top Actress for a TV Drama Series in 2016 and 2015, and the Golden Maple Award for the most outstanding Actress for the role of a TV Series. In addition to these prestigious nods Katheryn won the Serendipity film's Excellence Award at the Banff World Media Festival in 2015. She was also chosen to be a jury member for the upcoming Cannes Series festival.
