Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd went on an impressive three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent in the very first round. Then, she returned to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen an unanimity loss and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record up to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. The next time she fought, she won in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in third round TKO. She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and ground-and-pounded her to pick up a second-round TKO victory. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the initial round, she was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Ladd fought in her debut big fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd was the winner of the fight of the night bonus after both fighters fought an intense fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in 16-seconds to break her losing streak. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
